NWA NBMBAA chapter
Chapter history:
In March 2021, Vonnice J. Boone, MBA, and Alanda Waller, MBA were inspired to start this process by an internal conversation around Black and African American youth. The two partnered to start the process of chartering a National Black MBA Association chapter in Northwest Arkansas. By May of 2021, the executive board was formed. In May of 2021, the group was approved to be an official interest group, in which they formed the following mission “In alignment with the parent organization, our mission is to create dynamic programs and structured activities to support the intellectual, economic, and career advancement of Black and diverse students, entrepreneurs, and professionals in Northwest Arkansas.” This interim chapter is small but mighty and they are working diligently to continue to make a change in the community.
